Exploring the Wisdom of King Solomon, Chiron and Ascension

Chiron and Achilles in a fresco from Herculane...

Sages report that the inscription on King Solomon‘s ring is said to have read “and this too shall pass” therein all things change and we change with them. That’s why the serenity prayer plays a very big part in all aspects of my often sticky mortality i.e. “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things that I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

Such that as I turn 50, I’m inclined to accept that I am Chiron and he is me and we have absolutely nothing in common with the guy that I’d hoped that; one day I’d be. For once I was a supreme athlete and a passionate professional engineer, that was until; my body, career and wellbeing was decimated by 30+ years of medical incompetence and hypocrisy on a monumental scale.

As a mortal, I could have done with significantly less pain than I’ve actually experienced during the entirety of my life and yet of all the people I’ve met, seen or shared my life with there isn’t anyone else I’d rather be.  But that isn’t to say I’m narcissistic, indeed far from it you see; I’m also my worst critic too, indeed almost of the time :-) .  Nevertheless as far as I’m concerned that’s all part of my own evolutionary mortal checks and balances and to be brutally honest, I’m more than happy that this is an integral part of my overall spirituality and mortal personaility.

You see; I believe that life is for living and shouldn’t just be about; struggle, surviving or feeling other people’s pain. It should be about laughter, love and about all the great things that actually makes light-workers contributions, so unreservedly special and I make no apology for that view. Because if there is to be any sanity in mortality, life should be personally value adding and not only to mankind as a whole, but also to any soul who’s prepared to walk many, many hard yards in faith only and what’s more very often alone.

I don’t however buy into the school of thought that there is serenity in living a life as the wounded healer i.e. “Chiron”, simply because; serenity is actually the ultimate reward for the wounded healer and not a way of being etc. Furthermore I don’t believe any mortal would actually choose to endure the level of suffering that results in their own Chiron identity, for that is part of one’s own spiritual maturity and therein a complete paradox to the simplicity of mortality.

I believe also that acceptance and growth are nothing more than a union of the soul and its pursuit of its ultimate destiny. Therein, all we should ever really concentrate on during anyone of our lives is; being all that we were born to be.  For that and only that offers us mortals the greatest gift of all i.e. the secret of peace and divine serenity which I believe is needed if we’re ever to live as a mortal who accepts that it is; “WE and not I that actually constitutes the whole”.

In summation I’ve heard it said many times that life is like a box of chocolates etc, etc, etc and yet I’m not really sure what that means to me as a mortal.  But if it is, then I’m the first to admit that I certainly need a good telling off for my impetuous nature prior to my birth. For in my rush to grab my own box of chocolates for this life I must have inadvertently picked someone else’s up, and thereafter have spent my entire life eating Turkish delight when I’d much rather have been eating; hazelnut whirls and orange creams, now how silly is that? :-)

That being said; may we all be graced with the intellect to know precisely who we really are and therein also blessed to have life longs companions happy to support and not hinder us as we, pursue all of our higher self’s, ultimate goals, Amen.

Best wishes,
